Who I am.

I'm a creative leader with 15+ years of experience spanning digital, brand, content, and creative services.

Beyond the work.

Outside the office

Creativity extends well beyond my work. I’m passionate about woodworking, a three-generation family tradition, as well as fitness, abstract painting, and exploring the world with my wife and kids. I love making things, staying curious, and experiencing new places and perspectives—and I bring that same curiosity into how I lead and create.

My background

My creative journey started in Boone, North Carolina, where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Painting from Appalachian State University. During a summer study abroad program, I traveled through France and Italy studying Renaissance art and the history behind some of the world's most influential creative work. Those experiences gave me an appreciation for craft, culture, and storytelling that has stayed with me throughout my career. Combined with 15+ years working across design, technology, brand, and digital, they continue to shape how I think, create, and lead today.

My own builds.

When I’m not leading global creative teams, I run O’Brien Woodworks, a custom furniture business where I design, build, market, and sell handcrafted tables. Every piece is uniquely customized, creating a highly personal experience from the first conversation through delivery. It’s a very different kind of creative challenge—one that keeps me close to the craft, the customer, and the business. Built largely through organic search and word of mouth, the business has earned a 5.0-star Google rating across 40+ customer reviews, giving me a firsthand perspective on brand building, customer experience, and what it takes to turn creativity into a meaningful business.

I understand creativity from both the enterprise leadership side and the entrepreneurial side.
